Yes, but only if they enjoy it. My boy loves jumping, but if he didnt want to then I wouldnt force him to.

I know I have already commented on this but just a thought, if your friend wanted a 'no' side to the story! You must always be careful jumping, and not over do it, and be careful on which the surface you jump on (Eg, hard orslippy ground). Another side for no, in which you could use is the risk of tendon or joint problems later in life? You could research jumping problems

Yes many horses enjoy it, also its natural they'd jump over something in the wild if they wanted/ had to

I put no - not because I'm against it but to help by putting an opposite view across. At Uni we were taught that from head to tail end the vertebrae can only fluctuate something like 12 cms (this may not be strictly right, it was a long time ago so don't quote me, further googling may be needed!)
