I have the most wonderful 16.2 thoroghbred chestnut mare who is just totally wasted here. sHE IS 8 years old and we have owned her since she was 3 and she came out of training because she just to slow. She has been a huge part of our family but is sadly completely underused due to the fact that my girls are all having babies and are also holding down full time jobs.
She is well schooled and believe it or not she is the sort of horse that you can leave for months, throw the tack on and go. She is the kindest tb i have ever owned and she hasnt got a bad bone in her.
She has got lovely paces and would definately do a dressage job. Lovely confirmation with almost 9 inches of bone. Sadly as a 3 year old she had an accident in the field and punctured her plura leaving her with a slight noise. She has never been unable to work, and apart from showing (accept ROR ofcourse) she works as a normal horse and will do her job without any problems. She would therefore not pass the wind part of a vetting.
We have tried to jump her in the past but sadly this isnt something that comes naturally to her.!
She is by the famous dual purpose stallion Fraam (decd) and she looks like a good old fashioned national hunt type.
She is very low mileage but it is to sad to leave her doing nothing for the foreseable future.
She has lovely carriage when ridden and a great working rythm. She is sound and vice free. Good to trim and shoe, good to box and a real gem to handle. She is fully vaccinated and up to date with teeth.
We dont want to loan or lease her.
We would love her to go to someone who will give her a lovely home and love her as much as we have, but must have knowledge and experience to take great care of a tb.
Please pm me or ring for further details but definately no photo hunters.
