Are you guys using? I've been called "tight" for having my show pony filly in a fleece and mw 3/4 neck...she's also got a hood on as her head and neck get exceptionally hairy and in comparison to her body she looks daft! She's showing over winter so want to keep her coat down.
What's everyone else rugging with?

I use either fal or amigo rugs, as they fit so well.

Wow 11?! How do you manage haha well mine is stabled but she's also grey so she has a light weight on when she's out and a hood to keep her clean! Xx

Mine all live out unrugged!
Please be careful putting on to many rugs at this time of year. I know it seems a lot colder now, but it will get a hell of a lot worst! xx

Mine all come in at night and have a good turnout rug on. I leave them on day and night as we run to the clock in the mornings with school and work, rug changing is very time consuming, unless there is a problem of course. We put under rugs on if it gets snowy and minus numbers. I am not a big fan of hooded turnouts though as they rub manes out, but I do use them if it gets really cold

mine has a heavy weight but thin stable rug on at the moment, and in the feild he had a light weight but when i brought him in today he was freezing so i ahve now swapped to his medium weight. he will probably use that till like end of november/december now. he has already gone fluffy on his neck, but i wont show this winter- just do some dressage so its not that bad. p.s thanks for making this thread ;P i was just gonna make one sayiung the same thing x

I've got 1 in a heavyweight with a neck. Three in a medium one with a neck, one with a hood and one with no hood (youngster living out). One pony in nothing, she's not clipped, not showing this winter and is a native so doesn't need it x

Our cobs completely naked but the welsh D and show pony are both in fleeces and lw/mw (they're kind of in the middle) just to keep their coats down!

All out 24/7 - mainly in Lightweight if they are unclipped. Those that are then clipped go into a heavyweight turnout with integral neck....the ones with no joining seam on top of neck to prevent rubbing! If I can find a well fitting fleece for them, that also goes under the rug as their "vest"!!!!

We are in aberdeenshire and it is freezing!! So far section A broodmares are out 24/7 unrugged. Oldies and warmbloods and tb are also out 24/7 with 100gram turnouts. Those that are showing have middle weights (Rambos or amigos) on at the moment. We are still above freezing just now, its more sleety wet windy horrid weather. Last year it was down to -20 odd so saving the heavies and more layers for then!!
