can any of you understand this, my fiances mother has been given a pony because her daughter has decided she likes ponies shes very young so cant look after the pony herself, now this women has already admitted she has no idea how to look after a pony. this pony is , a lovely pony by all means but , not really a first pony but what do you know, theyve decided if they can fence a paddock off it would be fine in there and have asked my fiance if i could to come up a couple of hours a week to look after it..? well when they ask me face to face i shall be giving them a few home truths ! are people really this blind to what a commitment horses are? you cant just have a look over the fence each day as you walk to your car ! grrrr x

I was talking to a woman yesterday who has had her horse for 24 yrs! She had no idea that they were suppose to have passports! I was absolutely stunned that someone had a horse and did not know this! Nothing surprises me at all these days. Shame on the people that gave them the pony! Poor thing!!

Words fail me! Rightrein, sounds like you're going to be the nominated carer now.
I just hope whoever gave them the pony hasn't got any more. What a plonker.

Oh dear that's a pants situation to be in, rightrein. If you say yes you're going to be (excuse the pun) saddled with its care, if you say no then you're going to feel awful if anything happens to it as a result of their ignorance

Well if they are that ignorant , why dont you find a more suitable home for her where she will be looked after properly, without them knowing ;-) and just say ' oh she must have escaped and gone back to my little pony world xx
