Middle height whp was Grange Homeward Sparrow with his new jockey (over from Ireland for the week)
Stowbrook Jenny Wren was Champion, G H Sparrow reserve. Don't know what the large winner was sorry.

Jo Bates did I think, as following a previous thread on here, there was a clerical mix up at the S of England Show and she was allowed to compete but not qualify even though she won and went champ.

The outcome of the FR was a total farce!!! Paintbox won(already qualified) but the 2nd gelding (a dartmoor with Julie Barton)got the ticket despite being 8 marks behind the winning mare! The schedule says the class may be split but that the top 5 from each section should be brought back for final judging. This did not happen - the judges obviously did not read their schedule nor stick to their marks.

In reply to your question was The Philandra sent out of the riding horse class at Lincolnshire Show. It has been stated that the class clashed with the cob championship that it quiet correct, but if you watched the class as closley as i did you would have realised that Jayne Webber only decided to leave after she realised she was'nt going to get pulled in the top five. I wonder what would have happened if she had got the top pull? Come on everybody lets not kid ourselves, she spit the dummy out because of her pull.

Well isn't that natural, is there really any point staying if you have no chance in the class but DO have a chance in the championship. Surely that isn't spitting the dummy out, its a fairly sensible desision?
I do not know or have any conncection with these people, but I suspect a lot of people making digs don't either. I'm sure the horse will have its day, none of the best ones are the easiest.(Do not wish to be picky rigrag but i believe its the 'Philanderer' rather than 'Philandra' as it is spelt in every other post. Quite a name to live up to for a gelding!)
