what is the correct wear for a rider in a part bred welsh class? I have only ever done pure bred m&m and so wore tweed etc.

Depends on what kind of part bred you have. Show pony or show hunter type?

If it is a show hunter type a tweed, either short or long boots depending on what looks best for the pony type and rider. And the colour hat depends on what matches your tweed but a blue hat is normally good as they tend to go with most tweeds.
Good luck :-)

My pony is a dapple grey with black legs so what colour tweed would look good? Grey?

Usually a green tweed for all ponies.. grey tends to suit most overcheck, go for something like red as it matches everything.. Make sure the jacket has a blue velvet collar then it will match a blue hat... otherwise you will have to buy a hat to match the velvet.. If the pony is under 15hh then you will need to wear short boots

Thanks irh123, I didn't know about the boots and height thing! I love grey tweed so think I may opt for that...
