Same here, she doesn't know what to do! The other one, thankfully is okay. I've just been out to do the last hays on the yard and one of the ponies isn't to impressed to say the least, at the back of her stable looking very worried about it all. The others don't really seem to mind, my welsh cob mare seems to be quite enjoying the display (about 500yards up the road) so is gazing out of her stable, ears pricked looking quite happy about it all, she is the strange one on the yard though, bless her... I hope your dog settles soon x

He's just barking none stop poor lad! My horses never bother! As long as they're fed they're happy! Aww thank you, yours too! Plenty of cuddles

Poor boy She just gets all silly shaking, she doesn't really bark just doesn't know what to do with herself! Trying not to give her too many cuddles as it makes her worse, it's seeming to quieten down out there so hopefully she'll stop soon, she's the same every year Our horses are normally fine, just my VERY sensitive SHP who quite frankly is scared of her own shadow!

Stop cuddling them, that only encourages fearful behaviour.. close curtains/blinds, turn music/tv up, and perhaps even do some training with them in the house... suggestions could include.. walk to heel, some sit stays, practice what you need too.. teach them some touching... Teach dog to touch your palm with their nose, and award with something tasty from your other hand, anything that takes thier mind off the banging outside, or teach them some tricks I went to the extreme one year and walked her out with her ball... she loves her ball, and it worked, the ball for her is a good distraction, she learnt very quickly to ignore the bangs and bright lights, and now doesn't bother. Disclaimer - This may not work for every dog, and if you think it won't work on yours, don't attempt it)
