I have a lovely trouser suit that I show in hand with and it matches my pony very nicely however I have been told that we must wear hats when showing in hand.
this isn't my dilemma -what KIND of hats are correct? and in fact is wearing a hat whilst in hand showing a rule of thumb?

I'v seen people wear a tweed cap and some wear a normal navy riding hat with flesh strap...depends what you are showing and how old you are! X

I think beaglers (sp?) look lovely inhand. They are the riding type hats, but with no chin strap and are slightly less bulky than a normal hat. It is technically correct to wear a hat, although in some areas it is less seen. We show welshies in the south east, and nearly everybody has a hat on, but if you go over to wales hardly anybody does!
