Any advice greatly appreciated. Got showy section b about 4monthes ago, fantastic and healthy, good show weight and appeared happy and relaxed. In the last 3 weeks he has dropped a lot of weight and gets very tucked up and you can see stress lines! In the stable or field he steps on the spot continuously, he is eating but not a great amount. He has been wormed so not that. He does not have a temperature and appears alert. It is hard to explain, he seems agitated. We cannot for the life of us think what it could be. He has been at the same yard since we got him, only difference is his field companion has gone, but we have replaced this with a different mare. But I am sure it is more than this??? Anyone had similiar problem? Thanks

Would a stable mirror help to settle him?

He is like this just now in the field even with his little companion next to him. It is just so wierd that it has suddenly started. Stable mirror may help but am sure it is something more deep rooted. Giving him another few days and then getting vet ou. Posting on here incase anyone has had similiar thing? Thank you milliesumum.

I think you're doing the right thing, you know yourself if something's not right.

I think I would get the vet out to check bloods, etc. I've got a stressy yearling but she was stressy on arrival and now she has settled, she has put the lost weight back on and is much happier. I would be worried about anything that is happy, then suddenly starts appearing to be stressed.
