Beautiful Black Hanovarian State Premium Dressage Mare for sale as Broodmare.
Ex Advanced dressage horse by Wittinger/Weltmeyer.
Imported from Germany in 1997 by Ted Green from the BHHS.
BHHS performance tested Main Studbook Mare
Gold Medal/Champion Mare with the BWBS into the Select Studbook.
Also reg'd with AES & SHBGB.
She is 17 years old, Stands around 16'1, she is fairly compact but with huge expressive paces.
I have owned her for over 2 years, she had 297 BD points and I downgraded her to Novice.
She has taught me so much, including advanced movements, shoulder in, flying changes, half pass etc
She has always been in work & sound until about 2 months ago when she had a slight lameness in trot. She had a month on box rest and had been progressing back into work when
I noticed slight lameness again in trot the other day. The vet scanned her and diagnosed a deep digital flexor tendon injury in the region of the digital flexor tendon sheath. He advised to give her up to 1 year off to see she if can recover, which is a possibility but not a definate so i have decided to sell her as a very smart broodmare.
She is a fabulous mare, very kind and sweet natured and loves to show off and please you in her work, extended/lateral work being her speciality!
She is excellent in all ways, She hacks out on her own, loves to SJ/XC & to go up the gallops, anybody's ride. She is good to clip/farrier/dentist etc, excellent ground & ridden manners.
She has a very old wire scar on front left leg but does not affect her and a prophets thumb on her neck.
I am very sure she will make a fabulous mum and will produce fantastic foals.
She Is out with Mares/Geldings and is a very good doer, would live in or out with company & a shelter.
Would be a absolute asset to any breeder or stud.
