Umm you could try feed supplements, like farriers formular.. Best thing to do is ask your farrier if he has any tips, however i always use hoof moist or somthing similar to help keeps hoofs less dry. Their is also a new hoof oil on the market, comes in a red tube and is 'o natural' as it has leaves and minerals in it.... u could try that??

If you do oil them don't oil the soles, as hoof oils and greese also acts as a barrier , turning out in our fantastic summer weather is good as thep have plenty of moisture there. My hubby is a Farrier and really dislikes shaving beds as they draw the moisture . I also swear by good old vegetable oil but not a trickle build up to a tea cup full once a day. Hope this helps.

I found just simple cold hosing and soaking the feet to be really effective, then a good layer of cornucresine, had been feeding biotin as well but only at half rations...
