Yes, I'm a member, what would you like to know? You get quarterly newsletters and show/drive schedules, also, your public liability insurance is included, which if you drive and don't have any insurance is rather useful. You are then eligible to attend any BDS raleigh, any where in the country,(as long as you take your membership card). Also, as it's a small(ish) organisation, I like to support them where I can.

Basically that's it in a nutshell, I think ill join that for her rather than bhs if you get public liability sounds like a good organisation to be in.

Dont forget that gold BHS membership also carries the public liability insurance.
With some regions of the BDS the area comissioners are a fount of knowledge and bend over backwards to support new drivers, other areas are not quite so lucky, often due to distance and time constraints.

All as said above - it is a useful society to be a member of IF you are a driver however their insurance policy states it is an 'insurance of last restort' and you might be better with BHS or BHDTA insurance. They do keep you informed of everything in your area though
