George is a real head turner, he was bought from a field several months ago and has been out of work for at least the last 12 months, he is an ex bsja and has fantastic bloodlines. A perfect example of a gentle giant.
George is easy to handle and loves attention and a good groom, he is great for the farrier and vet etc.
In this advert I feel I need to be 100% honest as finding the right home is most definitely my priority. I bought George from a field to be a happy hacker, tried him before purchase and he proved to be very quiet however now he has come upto weight and is much fitter I am completely over horsed.
George needs a confident rider to bring him back into work properly, he is great in the school and has proved to be very bold out hacking, he isn’t fazed by traffic and hasn’t ever spooked. He just becomes very excitable and strong and throws in a few bucks when wanting to go into canter. I honestly believe that this is something that would be worked through when George is in regular work.
He has incredible paces and would make an absolutely fantastic dressage horse. Due to George being an ex bsja horse I would honestly say he would be suitable for fun rides and a bit of cross country however a life away from show jumping is desired.
This is a heart breaking sale, George really is a fantastic member of my family however I feel at the age of 11 he is proving to want to be out doing more than I have the time and confidence ( im a novice rider) to offer. I certainly wouldn’t go as far as saying he is a project horse he just needs bringing back into regular work. A first class home is priority for George and any potential homes will be checked.
I cannot stress enough what a fantastic horse George is, he deserves nothing but the best. He is priced to sell. Pictures available upon request.
