i have just heard that a livery yard would not call an ambulance for someone who was unconscious after being kicked in the head by a horse, they then blocked the drive to stop an ambulance getting through, all because the woman complained about the condition of her horse,is this normal behavior?

This sounds like a ridiculous situation and I would hope it is grossly exaggerated gossip

Do you really have to ask if this is normal behaviour?

I am with Guestless on this, probably exaggerated gossip as i cannot believe that any sane person no matter how p_ssed off they were, would carry out such a wilfull act of negligence to another human being !!

Troll? I would say this is surely beyond the realms of possibility? Putting aside the moral issues what about the legal implications of preventing an ambulance access?

this really did happen,i just hope that the yard involved will take note that it is public knowledge ,and not do anything like this again,it is very sad that in todays climate no one can be named and shamed due to legal implications

Imo it does sound ott. I have a but, when I was at a local riding school having a lesson I fell off a ripped my calf muscle nerves and ligaments off the back of my leg, turns out I was on a liveries horse not one owned by the school. They refused to call an ambulance until I'd signed all the papework o say I wouldn't claim if I fell off. So I can kind of understand but unconcious and preventing help is a bit far fetched.

How can it be public knowledge if the yard, yard owner, person who had been allegedly kicked or even the area that it happened in have not been named?

Do we think this might be because the guest area is off limits so they are now joining? I suppose its a reason for bringing the guest area back as at least then they are sort of contained.
