I've got both. had two pair of dublin river boots. 1st pair sole wore through and the lining went. 2nd pair lining went again and now they leak and they've only done one winter. Toggie boots 1st pair leaked within a month so I took them back. Got another pair and so far so good. Lovely boots. Far far better!

I have Dublins & the only problem I have had with them was that one of the in soles was loose for a couple of days, I didn't wear them for 24hours & they haven't budged since. They have never leaked, stitching never come undone etc.

Got a pair of Dublin ones, mine have been fine but I don't tend to wear them when its deeply muddy or wet as they are swines to clean. Mine are almost 3 years old but aren't that hard worked.

Dubarry. They are more expensive but are better quality boots. had mine for over a year, wore them all last year in the snow and they kept my feet really warm&dry. I wear them pretty much everyday and they are worked really hard,I muck out in them(wash them off after if I take all the bed out),ride in them, walk the dogs in them etc. going across muddy fields. not leaked, cracked, keep my feert warm&dry etc. I do tend to clean them once a fortnight when I do tack using either renapaur or the dubarry stuff. Easy to clean and hard wearing.

Agree with tabby! Yes, they are more expensive but you get what you pay for and they are definately worth it!! I do everything thing in mine, even though i probably shouldn't! I use them as wellies and so far they have not let me down. I got them for christmas last year and if i was to clean them they would look like new

Definatley not the Dublin boots - worst ones ive ever had, they just fell to pieces! complete waste of money! i bought a pair of dubarrys 2years ago and will never go back! Im getting a new pair this xmas as after two years of barley having them off my feet theyre starting to wear out They are expensive but so worth it and top quality!

I have Dubarry & Ryedale's. Had Dubes for 12 months and I love them. I got the Ryedales about 6months ago and use them as wellies, they're great fo this job and comfy to ride in too. If you don't want to spend the amount that Dubes are then I would get the Ryedale's over Dublin. Haven't had any expreience with Toggi.

Tbh, I very rarely take my Dublins off! Haha I wear them for absolutely everything & have been through 6inch mud & puddles & I've never had wet feet. I have never cleaned mine either! Pretty much always covered in mud & never used any treatment on them. If I were to clean them, they would be immaculate!

Have a look at the Just Togs Denver boots.. I got them for my mum for xmas last year and she hardly ever takes them off! They havnt had a single problem and they are much cheaper than the alternative boots!

I got some Toggi ones for xmas 2 years ago and have to say it's possibly the best present I've had. I've lived in them for the past two years (although don't muck out in them) and they've still got plenty of life in them.

Ive got some dublin river boots, so far so good... Though i do have a slight problem because when i put the left one on the heel seems to fold or something, as i have to really ram my foot in? Anyone else have this problem? No leaks as of yet though x

Anyone else have this problem? No leaks as of yet though x I had this problem with both paors of my dublin boots, soon you will proberly find that you foot will become stuck, and you wont be able to get it out! My foot got stuck and then the lining ripped and come away, and had to cut my foot out!!!

Thanks Jessica, I've had a look at your thread and that is what has put me off I know a few people now, who have had similar problems. Unfortunately Dubarries are way out of the question at £300 I do keep trying to pinch my mums.. but they are far, far too big! I think Toggi is the winner so far, so does anyone have any more opinions on them?

I've been pretty happy with my Tuffa Suffolks too - nice and cosy and cope well in all our mud.

Go for the Toggi canyon boots. Keep your receipt though just in case. I've had both and love the toggi's more than I thought I would even though I loved my dublins. No good if they fall apart though. Can't bear to put them in the bin for some reason. lol
