If she's posted the rug she should be able to show you proof of posting or a tracking number. I don't post anything without a tracking number so I can prove it's been sent if there's a query.

I also got ripped off by a HG seller  She took my money and then said she was in hospital ill. I believed her, until people said she was fine and posting on FB. Never did get my money back Nothing short of theft IMO |

Agreed LP......theft!!
I have noticed on items people have had for sale that they get replies saying things like promptly received etc.....
Be good if could set up something like eBay with positive feedback then people would know who to trust!

I do sympathise with you. I have bought a few things on HG and never had any trouble but I must admit I have always been a bit nervous until goods arrived. However I have to say I bought a jacket from SophieMB - It arrived promptly and I am very pleased with it. I paid by PayPal

I haven't lost very much, but if you've bought a rug then you have probably lost a bit more  It's the principle when these things happen though. The for sale section is very busy and we don't get many problems reported considering how many items are being sold, but it does frustrate the mods when members let others down.  |
