I have used them on the last two ponies I have had and I find them very useful if used correctly!
However I would not advise using one on a young horse as they may not understand what it is trying to encourage them to do.

It's exercise, and repetition of exercise, which gets a horse fit and able to use himself correctly. This takes time and effort on the parts of both human and animal. If enough time and effort is put in, and the work carried out correctly in accordance with the ability of the horse, he will learn to carry himself and will be able to meet increasing demands upon him.

i think there fab, i was a little put off at first what with all the slines etc on them, but my standi was having a few issues and someone suggested that i lunge him one for a few weeks the change was remarkable, he was so free in his movement and worked the best he has ever under saddle... ;D

They are good & very useful for getting a horse to really use itself, but please be careful not to use it all the time, we had a pony who had been worked on it a lot. This meant it was used to being worked from 'the ground' and it went quite low & could buck. But if not used too repititiously (sp?) then they can be a very useful aid for getting them working from behind.

I'm a big fan of them, it has really helped my youngster with her canter work. I only use it the long and low way not the other way.

Really like them, used it on my 4yr old new forest he really started to work from behind lift up at the front and got some movement, he also started to muscle up nicely. Highly recommend, but wouldn't use it every day IMO.

I'm a big fan too! I use is once a week on anything i have... Also have just started leading out my pony on the roads in one as it really gets her stretching down correctly in walk without me constantly nagging and irritating her on a hack. Brilliant gadget!
