what bridle and bit should i use to show my 2 year old connie colt? also i know they should be shown in natural state but does anyone have any turn out tips x

inhand bridle and stallion bit probably and chalk and talcon powder brill for white feathers and tails

inhand bridle and loose ring rubber snaffle. Don't use talc in the tail,dries it out and makes it horrible. I have 3 with white tails(I ask myself why!) I'd trim under jaw line,ears(just the tufty bits to make them neat not clipped out like show ponies) and it's personal preference as to whether you take whiskers off or not, although it looks neater with them trimmed short(about an inch) or off completely,also tidy mane and tail but don't pull so it looks like you've pulled it(if you know what I mean) Good luck,post pictures from your first show x

Go on the connemara site to find out trimming rules. Be careful not to over trim your boy

thankyou everyone really helps as ive only ever done plaiteds that are really trimmed up ill post the before and after show prep pictures too hes dun so the tails fine and he oly has 2 small white socks behind x
