I've not had the Snuggy Hoods ones, but we had some which came in a set.. they didn't last long with our mare who trampled them and they ended up all wripped. But we used the waterproof of an old t/o rug and they've lasted since.

I got a pair of leopard print ones for my cob at olympia for £15! Don't use them for travelling, don't think they offer enough protection, but use them as stable boots and to dry off his wet legs. Love them, they're fab! no rips yet, and he can be quite destructive. He has full size ones, and they're a good size on him. he's about 15hh, around 9" of bone, and they still have a good size overlap. They're also a good length on him. go for them! not sure on your horse's build so don't know which size, but if you compare him to mine it might help?

Just had a thought - I usually get pony/cob so go for a medium. As you can see mine has NO respect for his sheep Its now sat waiting to be repaired by the sewing machine

I have the blue sheep ones to match my boys blue sheep snuggyjams. Got them at Equifest and imo the best travel boots around - so easy to put on and because of all the straps you can shape them to the horses legs more than normal travel boots. I got Medium for a 15hh LW show cob and they fit perfectly.

I got a red sheep set at Equifest last year for £15, haven't used them yet for travelling, but are great for use in the stable on my traditional cob after a bath to keep his feather clean, they aren't very thick so mould quite well to the leg. I've had to get large for my trad even though he is only 13.2hh, but with 9" of bone and tons of hair, the medium wouldn't go round without a gap, they do obviously come up high on him but as they are so flexible they are fine ;D

Such a shame they hold the sale at the poorest time of year for us pony lovers Im sure I read a thread on here to alterntaive companies at much cheaper prices

By the sounds of it they do have sales quite often though . Got my boots and snuggy hood this morning and well pleased with them . I know there are lots of companys that make jams but i wonder if they are as good quality . The turnout hood i got today is very good quality and i can see why they are expensive a lots of thought has gone into it like having a velcro strap round the nose to get a better fit and a satin anti rub lining on the shoulders and mane area . Still tempted to just get some jams and stick em on my credit card even though it is nearly maxed out
