Hi I'm new to Horse Gossip and after some help. My daughter has started side saddle on her black section A pony and we have found a lady that hire's side saddle habits. She only have two that fit and has sent them to try. One is a light blue tweed and the other is plain brown. I cannot afford to have her one made and need to choose which to keep for the year? I don't know hat to do, we always show him in green tweed. Is brown on black a no no?? Thanks in advance

I always thought that navy blue was correct for side saddle...but I don't do side saddle so don't quote me on that

light blue sounds good would be eye catching on a black pony

My daughter rides her black shetlands in a lightish brown tweed, which goes really well. She only rides astride now, but did some sideways riding on her dark bay mini Shetland. She wore a navy wool habit then.
