Looking for a dog

I am looking for a larger dog to help guard the house but I would consider a small dog that would be good at guarding his home.

I have a Jack Russell cross at the moment but he seems to pose no threat to tresspassers!! I would be happy for a cross breed, or any other large type dog (lab, german shepard, collie etc).

Must be good with other dogs and would ideally prefer an older trained dog but may think about an older pup (6 months +) I am not looking to spend a lot on another dog and would prefer to adopt. Can be bit*h or dog but needs to be castrated/spayed.

I'm with you teor, but at least this poster is not looking to spend a lot of money and is happy to adopt one.

There are mongrels for sale in the dog for sale bit for £650! Why? Only because people pay that for them. Why? the rescue centres are full of dogs, including puppies, looking for homes.

Why not try Bolton destitute animal centre, I also think the German rescue centre is quite near to you around the East Lancs road.
Also the RSPCA in Bolton, all of these places ask for a donation only !
