What is everyone's opinions on long show boots with the faux lace? Does everyone try and avoid them or are you allowed them in the show ring? Do you get marked down etc? Hope someone can help me as its been bugging me for a while as the only boots that fit my very slim legs have laces on them. Thanks

Oh you are allowed them, but to be honest, I don't like them. My preference if plain faced boots-it's more traditional, as I think only hunt staff wore lace up boots who no help with taking boots off. I don't think they generally support the ankle well either. But you wouldn't get marked down, and if they fit you, that's fine. But many people will opt for the more traditional type as it creates a better picture. X
