I really don't think you can generalise? I think it depends on the temperament of the parents, the way the dog is brought up from being a puppy, if it is trained and socialised, and things like neutering to help with agression. Although I think it obvious that the bigger and stronger the dog, the more of a problem it will be if it shows aggressive tendencies. I think there is good and bad in all breeds.

i've met a lot of German Shepherd and iv not had a bad experience with them, the problem with some people owning a dog is that they don't exercise them, they then become destructive out of board um, or the owner thinks there 2 strong, some can be real girl thingy cats, others monsters.

As a nurse who used to work in an A&E department. Most dog bites were from terriers, their 'victims' small children who wouldnt listen to the warnings from their parents or the dog's owners not to hassle the dog.

We used to breed German Sherherds and none of ours were vicious! I think people alwys think bigger dogs are more vicious, especially German Shepherds as they associate them as being police dogs! They are my favourite and never had a bad experience with one! In fact we sold one of our puppies to a policeman and he brought it back to us as it failed the tests - so they cant all be nasty!

It's not your fault it's the parents thinking they no best and not listening to the owner. I'm sorry and i know it sounds harsh but if i said don't hassle the dog it doesn't like it, and they do they deserve to get bitten.
