Hi, We are looking to buy a new saddle for our boy . He is 14hh , 5 yrs old traditional . we want to show in it . Can anybody recommend a nice one please ? Was thinking of maybe a fylde ray or a native pony saddle co ? but would really appreciate any advice. Many thanks.

I am a fitter for Native Pony so do shout if I can answer any questions. We fit our saddles with the comfort and movement of the horse or pony foremost, but I've not met a rider yet I don't think who didn't love the saddles for themselves . The panel is a little more generous than some other showing saddles but we believe that you need a certain amount of flocking to support the tree and the weight of the rider. We fit all our saddles, well, HQ occasionally send them out mail order, but we have agents covering most of the country. I have coloured traditionals in our Traditional Working Hunter plus the Phoenix Luxe WH but if they are very wide or very flat the Glen Mark 3 or the Symphony SH saddle might be more suitable. If very short backed then the Sienna WH or the pony sized Symphony would be the most likely options. There was an identically titled post maybe a month ago with lots of suggestions, worth searching for.
