Anymore results? Should think that the show ponies and hunter ponies were low in numbers as most are at the BSPS champs. I expect it was nice for the locals to know that most of the professionals were away!!! Is it later this year as it does not usually clash with our championships?

Ellieraga....what's your problem? whereas a win is a win there is no satisfaction of winning when your either the only one in the class or are in poor company, we all know when big finals are staged at the same time as county shows the competition is usually poor, I've not seen big entries at Pembs County for many years especially after they lost the HOYS qualifiers, I would love to know what 5 Lead Reins were there of high calibre, don't think there has been as many as 5 entered in any lead rein class all year in South Wales, I look forward to seeing the results so I can determine myself if the classes were well supported with ponies of high calibre.

doormouse , my problem is the likes of you who come on here slating young children who have had a win and are obviously very proud !! also just remeber these children who compete in lead rein are very young and dont need the likes of you or anyone else coming on here shouting they only one because they were the only won in the class or in poor company nothing like knocking confidence before they have even started, give the kid a break please

Ellieraga......Thanks for the smite Please point out to me where in my posts I've slated any children or knocked their achievements, I'm a realist living in the real world and too win when there is no competition is no achievement to me personally no matter what level you show at. I do not know any of the winning ponies or results, I was only backing up trigger's post, and think that wendbarrys outburst was a little uncalled for, I cannot see anywhere on triggers post her questioning the lead rein winner or the amount of ponies entered. Also, If lead rein riders are on this site reading these posts I'd be questioning the integrity of their parents. I also think your childish "smite club" would be better suited in the Junior lounge area.

you clearly stated that pembs county clashes with other shows and the competition is poor, you also state you dont know 5 lead rein ponies that have enterted all year , its thats not knocking a chils confidence i dont know what is ? please note i did not state lead rein riders were reading these posts but as i am sure you are aware people talk and i dont think this is nice to get back to the children !!! also if you dont like the smite club why read it

If you wish to continue this discussion, please could you do it via the PM system? That way, this thread can get back to its intended topic. Thank you.

I have just come in from work and what has been going on here? Debbie Thomas is at the champs and lets face it she does usually clean up at Pembroke!! Was Michelle Charles there or Cath or the Cuddys? Was Leo Bowen entered or Kevin Cousins? If you beat them then you did really well! There was no malice meant but come on guys we all heave a sigh of relief when the Oakleys aren't parked in the lorry park!

There were actually some very smart ponies in the show pony classes I saw. No most weren't professionals but the ponies were of a high standard, they weren't just the 'local leftovers.' Maybe they just didn't fancy going to the buzzy bsps champs?

Michelle Charles is not a producer and neither is Leo but considering Michelle has a Marshbrook pony that has won 2 HOYS qualifiers that I know of and Leo's ponies are always perfectly turned out and mannerly they would be hard to beat. Don't worry though maybe they will go to Pontardulais on Monday as they will all be back in Wales then! Doormouse is right about the classes dwindling in numbers. When we had our hunter ponies there used to be at least 15 in each class at Pembroke show. Wendbarry, elligra and littlehorse- there was nothing in my post about results for this show to offend anyone. But please let us know when you do beat Debbie Thomas.

Failed to mention that 128cm was won by Chasecroft Dreamcatcher! Oh and by the way Chasecroft Dreamcatcher won (and dare I say it, beat D Thomas) in Cardigan. Look, Your problem is with me obviously being very proud of someones little girl who (a) enjoys what she's doing (b) happens to win. Please leave this child alone. Whatever your problem is deal with me personally. Oh and by the way, Leo asked if he could buy the pony , so , I suggest you stop being mean and approach either myself, or, even try approaching the child's mother and tell her how you feel about it. Enough said.

Dear Wendbarry Mrs Perrin is a good friend of mine and her company has sponsored us in the past so I think you had better stop being so defensive.

so why the attitude about brogan

Post by tootsiegrey on Aug 23, 2008 14:40:06 GMT
There was no attitude from me I only asked about results and thought that the class numbers would be low due to the BSPS champs being on at the same time and how nice it must have been not to have had the pro's there! There We Are Then!

tootsiegrey/ trigger. You should be ashamed of yourself. If Mrs P is a friend of yours as she will be slightly annoyed at your insinuation that her pony won in poor company. THIS IS A CHILD WE ARE TALKING ABOUT ON A 4YRD OLD PONY. You seem to take a lot of interest in Mrs P's daughter and where I/we show. Please speak to me at Bont if you can lower yourself enough to consider going there

tootsiegrey formally known as trigger, firstly why with the name change all of a sudden if you want to come on here and slate people at least have the nerve to keep the same name , also if you are a good friend of this person i would hate to be your enemy !!!

Thank you, it is a super show, the weather was awful on wed but it didnt dampen spirits, numbers of entries were down somewhat but the quality was there! My favourite show. We took supreme there a few years ago
