Saw something at this show that made me think .... Would like to think it wasn't malicious but in one particular class saw first placed pony going for its confirmation and instead of waiting until the next pony had finished its show, pony and rider got right in the way and stopped the second placed rider doing a gallop and finishing their show properly. Said pony is produced and producer was in the ring with her so trust that producers are not now stooping to such a low level to eliminate their competition because if they are god help the showing world!

I have to comment with regard to the ridiculous claim being made by the original poster.
I am the mother of the said competitor that you refer to, and client of the said producer you also refer to.
As there was only 1 producer at the show with a pony that was pulled in first with female competitor it could be no other person to whom you are referring!
I am incidentally Nicola Stanier.
I refute what is being said here, it is total rubbish and did not happen. Whilst I appreciate the competitors all had a job to get to the confirmation area as each had to cross the gallop/extension straight to then walk down the side arena wall to the confirmation...my daughter did not walk into the path of the pony pulled in 2nd and stop the gallop nor the proper finish of his show... at the age of 14 whether produced or not my daughter has enough ring savvy and etiquette to make sure that this would not happen...neither is it right to insinuate that our producer would stoop so low as has been stated above to send both my daughter and quality pony into the path of an oncoming pony galloping....for Heaven sake!!!!!
I would also like to add at this point that my daughter had already been in the ring with her Traditional 4 times gaining a 1st & 3 x 2nds and was already more than aware of the hazards they faced getting to the confirmation area.
Our pony to which you refer to here Won the open, then took the Junior Championship, and then went on to take the Ridden Supreme Championship.... this can only be based on the judges opinion of her on the day...quality and great ring conduct both ridden and on the ground.
If there were issues raised about something then it should have been addressed at the time....I know the competitor well that is apparently affected here and nothing has been said.....largely because it didn't happen!
If you have a problem that is none other than pure envy over a childs results at a show...can I ask that in future you put your money where your keyboard has been and Go and raise you complaint with Carolyn Moat at the Show office.
It is a riduculous slur on both myself and my daughter and the producer to attribute our enormous success at the weekend to some false claim of stopping someone doing their Gallop !!
I would like to add.....I caught nothing of this on video and had videod the entire show !!!!!!!!
And finally, please state who you are....its hard to decipher other than a huge allegiance to the 2nd place competitor / pony !!

As the rider of the said coloured pony that is being insinuated I am certainly not jealous or envious after seeing the marks from the class. Yes the other pony did beat mine but she was having a bad day. However now the point was raised I did have to slow my show as the gap was tight to get through and I didn't want any ponies or riders to be injured, but hey that's showing for you. If anyone has any issues then please don't tar me with the same brush as I have not got any issues. One last thing as a rider of her, I certainly am NOT jealous or being a green eyed monster. James Knight.

Oh this just points out exactly what showing has become.
Its also nice to see the rider of the pony whom came 2nd to come in and admit he isn't jealous - that does fill me with faith showing still has its nice competitors.

James Knight. Thanks James.... Maybe the original poster will come back and explain why they felt the need to make an issue out of something that was not really the case.....I think the above posters are not implying that you are green eyed in anyway but the original poster !! And it can't help but be deduced from their name & past postings that they are an avid supporter of you and coloureds...this leaves me to assume that they are connected to you or your coloured shown on Saturday......I appreciate that this leaves you in an awkward position and as has been stated it really does just show what 'showing has come to' doesnt it..when beaten....just go and make up some ridiculous untruth to belittle the results of the Supreme ridden and the very pony they own!!!!

Well, I didn't want to say anything, but someone in the ring sneezed when we were in the supreme! And my pony took notice of it and that's why we didn't get supreme! Must have been niki stanier.
James, your pony is lovely. What's she called? One to.watch!

I think that all producers should be banned from grooming for their clients in the ring, full stop.

Christ alive its barely the first week of March! the season hasn't even begun yet!
Can people just not be happy for a child and her beautiful little equine, produced to perfection and rode superbly? Those green eyes could be cured by going and buying something just as nice, ya know. ;D

I thought supreme was well deserved, However i did think the inhand was corrupt, How can a horse get champion when all ready been beaten by a gorgeous stallion... Not 2 mention the champions manners where disgusting and should of been told 2 leave the ring on a few occasions...The judge would of not thought twice if they had been judging a different horse or person. Hey Ho thats showing for you.
Just thought i would add my 2 pennys worth but the ridden was well deserved winner.

Thanks for that....to bring this back round to the issue here that was raised by the original poster...it is not so much whether the Supreme Ridden was a worthy winner or not but whether dirty tactics were used by the competitior & producer involved of cutting up the competitor in 2nd place!!! I note that he has already addressed this himself to say that was has been insinuated did not infact happen so I will not leave this until Dorothy25 identifies themself and addresses why she came to make this comment in the first place !

Well well well, another CHAPS thread turns nasty having ago at people!!
What on earth is the matter with people snipping at each other or at each others ponies.
I was in the ridden and inhand championship with my horse, I think the ridden was spot on and yes I would have liked to have won or been reserved but was delighted with the way my girl went, I left with a big smile and my girl actually got a pat on the neck for her efforts.
I personally didnt agree with the inhand championship but the winner is prolific under that judge, it was her decision on the day and thats the only one that counts.

It has the potential to be a very long showing season! It going to be a long time before Dorothy returns to Kansas!! So I guess I am going to have arm ache sticking my 2 fingers up to you all the way through!! I will stand by my first original post in response to the original poster & suffice to say we will rise above and beyond such pure fabricated untruths..and pure jealousy...we will try to produce the said Child to wave as she comes down the centre line after each good win & championship and not to stick her 2 fingers up should she spot your GREEN EYES at Ring side !! Nicki Stanier !!
