Can't believe you are at it all ready so early in the show season. It was just a small show, and only 3 in the class, not exactly a HOYS class! Just wait until they start! Producers are paid to win and that is what they will do. The produced pony looked fantastic and went the best - so it won, end of. The owner is paying for that to happen. Pony probably cost twice as much as anything else there, they are paying for it to be produced and so essentially for results what do you expect? That pony has been to HOYS and has a good record, its no surprise it won surely? I really don't think the producer needed to get the rider to hinder anyone else there! That is how showing works and we home produced lot stand down the line 9 times out of 10. Occassionally we get lucky and stand top and what great days those are. These are the facts of showing and anyone who thinks differently is not in the real world. If you don't like it get your hand in your pocket and pay, because its all down to money in the end!

It has the potential to be a very long showing season! Hasn't it just! The pony that won was ridden beautifully by the young girl. Whether the pony is produced or not, the jockey still has to ride it to achieve the results! she is an excellent little jockey and her other pony, who is totally home produced, is testament to that fact. There will always be sore losers in showing and will always be those that hide behind a false name to start malicious rumours or gossip. I think it's sad that Dorothy feels she has to say something like that. She may feel she was defending the 2nd placed pony, but in fact all she has done is make it look like the 2nd placed pony and its connections are bitter and sore losers, which I am sure, or at least I hope, isn't the case. If I was the rider/owner of the 2nd placed pony I would be furious I had been dragged into something as low as this and would be steaming with Dorothy! Showing, don't ya just love it! I can't wait forth season to start properly ;D And I standby what I have always said, you know you have a good animal when someone on hg starts a rumour/b*tchfest/questions the win, about your horse. As they clearly now see you as a threat to their own! Well done Rowan on your very well deserved wins and championships! Don't let this get to you or put you off. ;D

I am the previous owner of the pony that won and last year she was home produced and went to HOYS, so home producers can win but we are a minority! Well done to Rowen and Lola for taking supreme on your first showing outing.

Thank you very much for the above comment Stormskies...I couldn't have put it more eloquently myself!!
Thank you Lucymay credit where credits due...Lola Is a superstar and Rowen has worked very very hard since we have had her under the guidance of a producer and is taking her to the next level after the cracking good start you gave her!!
Onwards & upwards!
I feel very sorry for the 2nd placed pony too and all its connections all the original poster Dorothy has done is to prove how fantastic the 1st placed & Supreme pony is & was on the day & in the past.

although i was not at the show, so cannot comment on the supposed incident, may i say that i know the child involved, and have myself judged classes where she has competed, a nicer and more pleasant child you could not meet, and i would find it very hard to believe that she would hinder anyone, even by accident, her very first championship with a new pony should be something she and her mother should be celebrating for weeks to come, not having to justify on open forums. a great big well done to rowan and all her connections, may you have many more championships to come.

I was the third competitor in that ring and didn't notice anyone cutting up etc. Good quality ponies in the ring, and I don't think anyone could complain about the placings. Both lovely ponies that stood above me and we all said well done to each other! Good sportsmen.
Maybe the only thing I could say is that where possible no-one should extend behind the line up. And it could have been avoided.

I don't think that posts on here should be allowed to get so personal. This is a child who must be thrilled to bits to have won the supreme that we are talking about. I hope that she isn't upset too much. I learn't today that one competitor last year was spat at when her coloured horse did well. That is absolutely apalling. I've been called old fashioned on here before but I really feel that showing is rapidly going downhill. Very sad.

It's all a complete fix and a farce! My pony should have won that class! And all Championships thereafter at the show and I didn't even have a pony at the show. Infact I don't even own a coloured but Ye Olde Green Eyed Monster is telling me that I should have won all and sundry but for the dodgy dealings that went on that day!

I think the saddest thing about all this is that the child is upset! It must have taken the shine of the whole win for her and her family. To be feeling so high and on cloud nine to be taking home all that silverware, only to log on and see herself basically accused of sabotaging a show! It's bl@@dy shocking and Dorothy, whoever you are, I hope you feel satisfied!
