How do you make a pony track up in hand ?

I make my in hand pony walk on so that he is going faster than he wants to go. You do not allow him to break into trot. You also lengthen your stride out as far as you can, and he will then learn to lenghten his. Hopefully he will track up. A lot of people walk ponies to the length of their own stride, not the pony's stride and therefore the pony walks short. This then makes them walk without tracking up.

some ponies do it naturally- get someone to watch you walk it out and tell you what looks best, others never track up- however much you try.
It does help to lengthen your own stride.
