Ive beeb out of horses for a long while so lost touch of what is correct. Ive just bought a bay Irish Sports Horse and want to show her but not sure what i should be wearing in the ring...... Im intending to do sports horse classes, equitation, vetran and riding horse
Im thinking blue hat blue jacket for riding horse and equitation but not sure about the others any advice would really be appreciated also not sure about jod colour also what type of browband can i use ?
Ooo ps i have brown tack i know this is historically correct but would black look better ?

Right.. Generally, jods should be a corn colour-not overly yellow, however. I believe the correct turn out for riding horse classes is actually a tweed, with a pretty browband-something that isn't overly blingy or vulgar. Riders tend to sway towards a navy beagler for these classes, but riding in a navy hat with a harness is fine too. For vetrans, it will depend whether she is more or a hunter or a riding horse;show her as what she is basically. If she is more of a hunter, it will be a tweed with a plain browband as opposed to a pretty browband; see what she is more of and then decide what you will show her as in veterans. For Equitation/Sport horse classes, I'm not sure it matters terribly, so probably tweed with a plain browband (as if she's a hunter) would be fine. And brown/havana tack is better over black tack. Is that much help?

If she is hunter then brown tack with a plain browband, tweed and a blue hat also you can wear beige jods rather than yellow.
