Help needed, Lily is a white boxer who was perfectly healthy until she had her one and only litter 3 years ago, since then she continually scratches until she bleeds, she is covered in sores and will scratch aggressively for several minutes at a time, there is no relapse, she is under the vet who has had her tested and she is allergic to trees, ash and beech being some of them!! She has steroid injections monthly and daily anti histamine but she is now getting worst. She is treated weekly with a spot on treatment from the vets. Really need advice now as she is losing weight due to her problems.

Has she been checked out for food allergies or have you tried changing her diet?

Just an idea but jack sometimes scratches and he doesn't have fleas and he's been skin scraped and no mange or anything but he got bad at one point to the extent he had a large bleeding bald patch and I sprayed forever living aloe Vera animal spray on him a few times a day and u can't even tell now and his hairs fully grown back! Took about 3 week for the hair to grow back it was like magic! This will sound strange but when my little girl got chicken pox she was really sore on her bottom area and was weeping and bleeding, the camomile wasn't working and after seeing the effects of the spray I checked it was ok to use on her and it not only soothed her because it was a cool spray it cleared all the sores up! Fab stuff I use it on everything lol

what are you feeding. Dogs over the age of 3 or 4 need significantly less protien in their diet. This sometimes manifests in itchy skin.... poor girl, its a horrid condition....

She is on just a cheap tinned dog food and biscuits so low in protein there, researched it last night and found a homeopathic remedy so going to give them a ring to see

I'd be inclined to try one of the premium dried dog foods in a sensitive/chicken & rice variant. If you look at the ingredients listed on the bag, the top two should be rice and chicken!! In a lot of the cheaper brands you will find there are alsorts of things in there you wouldn't have dreamed of.

Ditto.
Mine have Burns and I've never had any problems of this sort. I know expensive but how much are you spending on other stuff to try to help her? And tins do contain lots of water so do compare on a dry matter basis if you are doing.
Allergic to trees sounds tricky though, not much to do about that except move away from them (I'm joking here) or use systemic drugs as you do.
