This section was set up after members requested an area to discuss driving. There is a post at the top that clearly says no adverts are to be placed in here. If I keep having to move/lock adverts, then this section will be removed - use it properly or lose it!

Would it be possible to have a bit added in the for sale section for carriage driving? I'm keeping an eye out for a cart and never know where to start looking in the for sale section.

I have an ad in the wanteds for a driving pony/horse but doubt that driving people are looking in there as only had one reply. I did not put it in this section though due to the no ads rule at the top. A driving section in the ads would be welcomed by me.

Another vote for 'Driving horses/ponies/equipment' section either in the ads, or a 'for sale' section within this section? Again, I drive, but don't show, so don't tend to look in the other sections as they are mostly showing ads. This is always the first place I look on here, as it is my main interest.

Hiya, am new here so haven't posted in this part of the forum yet, but I also drive and don't show, would love to see a section for driving as I am looking for a few things as well and they don't really go in the other area. Although I'd like it to mention donkeys as well as horses/ponies. so you have my vote. thanks.

I have nothing against having a driving section in the for sale area BUT members will need to remember that crossposting is not permitted so if you have a registered M&M that is broken to drive, then a choice will need to be made as to the most appropriate section to advertise in.
It does appear that nothing much more than adverts is in this section though so it does bring about a question about whether this section is needed.

There are very few places where drivers can go and ask for advice/discuss problems and I wouldn't like to see this section being taken away. The adverts in it are really very few and are keeping the section alive, encouraging people to come and view it - can't you just leave it the way it is? Where's the harm?

It very important that HG has a section on Driving the Horse and Pony, as it was part of our every day lives up until 80 years ago, and was the productive work roll for most horses and ponies, which would have been trained to ride and drive. We must keep alive the skill of Driving and we need an area on HG, can we not have a advert section next to this driving section ??
