Hi,Just wondering which society is best to join and also what sort of "display" is required.

Depends what you are wanting to do! If you want to do the HOYS classes, then you need to join CHAPS, if you want to do RIHS classes then you will need to be BSPA registered/members.
Both have their benefits of course - I stick to CHAPS mainly as I am in the North West, lots to do in this area and the champs are in easy reach.
For the pony classes, the 'display' (think it is BSPA wording??) is just a normal show with a gallop, can be a set show depending on the judge.
