just browsing through various sections on HG , and i cant fathom people out ,why in one section they have ponies for sale because of lack of space to keep them , and then in another section they are enquiring about recent ponies for sale , now am i being thick or something , but if you are selling because you dont have room for one then surely you havent got room for another ?

Because then no-one will buy it. And no, I'm not recommending it, just giving the reason.

I would suspect they are dealers but not being honest about it. There was an ad on facebook this week from a woman selling a pony because of lack of time. I know for a fact she has only just bought him and has nearly doubled the price she paid. Dealers should say they are dealers then people have an honest choice about buying from them or indeed selling to them

there is always the fact they may be posting for a friend, I have put fair few posts on here for friends who dont have time or access to put adverts on so i do it on behalf of them, never actually crossed my mind that they may contradict each other but i know there not just adverts for me so not really bothered. There can be good reasons behind the posting not necessarily there been deceitful.....just a thought. But also yes they could be dealers

Could also be if a pony has been outgrown they are looking for a new one but dont have space to keep the original pony too?

Also, it could be possible that they are focussing on a certain type/breed and need the room from any ponies surplus to requirements in order to replace with ones that they want to use.
