I currently have gaiters which were made to measure by my friends very talented Dad. They are gorgeous to look at however I can not jump in them to save my life!
The leather is quite thick so don't have much flexibity in the ankle and although I have worn them in I have no grip in them whatsoever once my pony has had a bath and is shiny lol.
My pony is quite novicey and has a big (but tidy) jump and I'm just all over the place when I jump in these gaiters (I wear fake-suede half chaps when riding at home and do not have this problem at all).
I'm focusing on M&M workers this year so need a comfy pair of boots that are suitable/grippy enough for jumping in, does anyone have any recommendations?

So do you just jump in short jodhpur boots? Are adults allowed to, or should we be in long boots/gaiters? I'm new to this showing malarkey! Lol

i do flat and jumping classes in long boots. i think over 158cm has to have long boots and adults. i have just bought the shires norfolk boots for £110 and they are very comfortable.
