I had an Oakfield Santana, for my big sec D, it was fab, I let it go with him when I sold him I'd have another, best saddle I've ever had.. Super comfy, both for me and my husband.. Just got a Heritage, for our new highland, nowhere near as comfy though..

Ideal working hunter, super comfy and plenty of knee roll to get behind but still looks relatively straight cut. Already have a 16" one which I love and my new 17" came out the factory yesterday can't wait to ride in it!!

I agree! I have a suede-covered Ideal whp and LOVE it! It makes me feel really secure and it's a great fit for my little D.

Farrington every time - my saddler says they are better quality than the Ideal & I think they are super comfortable

I have a Jeffries working hunter saddle on my welsh D, it is so comfy and fits my mare so well, I have even had comments from judges on how nice the saddle is. I have had it for 12 years now and it still looks like new

I've had the Ideal WH saddle and found that there wasn't enough to it to be able to jump properly! Also, whoever rode in it on my pony seemed to get pushed to the back of the saddle which of course isn't good for their backs! (Maybe it's just my Connie...)! Since purchased a Fylde Nathan and I love it! Slightly more forward cut and has more to it but is still very neat!

I've had the Ideal WH saddle and found that there wasn't enough to it to be able to jump properly! Also, whoever rode in it on my pony seemed to get pushed to the back of the saddle which of course isn't good for their backs! On the back of this, whatever fits the pony and the rider! Obviously I know it's helpful to have ideas, but there are SO many variables. I fit many different styles of WH and people are often surprised by the one they choose in the end. I actually have several customers riding in our straight cut GPs as they give more knee room for serious jumping. I'd say find a saddle fitter who understands Connies (they can be VERY flat and pretty wide) and see what they bring out or recommend.
