Anyone tried and tested the fylde wilki and the neue schule style wilki? I have a sec a first ridden but being chunky he can be quite strong if he wants to be, although tends to be better for my young daughter than older riders.
Having just learnt to canter I want to make sure she has breaks when needed, would like to hear other peoples experiences as to how the fylde wilki rides.
Thankyou

We have tried both and our pony prefers the neue schule, I think she it is the mouth trans lozenge mouth piece she likes.

Our pony has the Neue Schule type wilkie for showing and she seems very happy with it.

Another vote for the Neue Schule - we use one for our chunky section b ridden by my very slight 9 year old daughter. He goes really nicely in it, not too overbent, soft and relaxed - but it has a little more to it than a normal snaffle. It's been enough for her to have complete control even classes where she gallops.....her choice, I wish she wouldnt!
We have other NS bits (hanging cheek and butterfly pelham) and our ponies seem to really like them and go well in them.

Both my sec B+C went better in a fylde bit with a thin mouthpiece, think it must be due to having quite fleshy tongues, theres not a lot of room for much else in there.
