Just received this via email - as a new member I am not exactly sure what this means, but would assume that if you joined in January 2012 then you would be up for renewal in Jan 2013 and so on depending on which month you joined?
"The Board of the Association has listened very carefully to the concerns of their Membership regarding the proposed renewal date for the 2013 Membership. In depth discussions have taken place within the Board and it has been decided to revert to the rolling membership criteria of 2011 and 2012 and review the most beneficial way to come in line with all other Showing Societies in 2014.
Members who have already renewed for 2012 will automatically be deemed a rolling member as in 2011. Members are reminded that correspondence will be by email and all post should be sent to the Administration Office Unit 1, The Old Farmhouse, Oakley Park, Llandinam, Powys, SY17 5BE Tel: 08456804874 Email: info@poniesuk.org"

Well thats good news. I did email Davinia and voice my concerns over this and she did reply by return stating that the Board would be looking at this. Obviously they did! Very pleased they have listened to their members. Well done PUK

That's great news.
Now perhaps if enough home produced members complain about the discrimination of having to pay £15 extra membership to be an amatuer they might do something about that too.
In any other industry they'd be sitting pretty for a discrimination case. In the equestrian world though it is quite acceptable to favour professionals and to openly discriminate against a minority group.

ditto the above, why do we have to pay more to be a lee smith member??? also, re membership, surely its better to pay your membership when it best suits you and just roll on to the next year? think paying in august is just too much with the entry fees of the champs a nd stabling etc, etc
