so ive never shown in the past, however this summer my 8yr old daughter is confident/willing/experienced enough to want to show her welsh sec a.
the problem is i have no idea what we/she should be wearing or weather pony should/nt be plaited.
im hoping if some kind soul would take pity and give me some idea.
these are classes and local shows ( some are qualifiers- however we're not expecting or bothered about this per say)
the objective is to get out and about, enjoy the experience, hopefully get my daughter a few rosettes, and have fun, boost confidence. i dont really wanna be spending a fortune on new clothes.
so the classess were looking at:
1) peter pan jumping lead rein- my question on this is does it matter what i wear to run alongside?
2) daughter planning on taking pony in hand classes, mountain and moorland class- does she have to wear a tweed? could she wear her navy jacket? or could she get away with a waistcoat and no jacket?
3) in mountain and moorland in hand should pony be left natural or pulled and plaited? plain browband or velvet browband?
4)child handler classes/handsome gelding/best mane tail etc- what jacket for my daughter?
5) lead rein classes- i dont have full show gear, would i be totally out of place to lead in cord trousers, boots, shirt and waistcoat?
6) in lead rein should the pony be plaited or natural?
7) ive heard dark pony legs handler should wear light trousers and vise versa- how about for a chestnut with 4 white socks?
8) what do u do if some classes need plaiting/pulling and some natural??
i really appreciate all the time taken to read this essay and any answers given
