Apparently all entrants in qualifiers have a new form to fill in this year..... www.hoys.co.uk/competitor/documents/HOYSQualifierEntryForm2012.pdfBoth owner and rider now need to be a member of a showing society - I believe in the past it only had to be the owner. Also, the form says "I have carefully read the Rules and Regulations contained within the rule book of the Horse of the Year Show" on the bottom - anyone know where the rule book is, or are we all going to be signing that we have read something when we haven't

Do you have to download & complete this form even for shows like Cheshire where they give you a seperate entry form for HOYS qualifiers. Also, we did not have to fill in one of these for the HOYS qualifier at the Winter Champs?!

I don't know snowflake - it's only just starting to be talked about so I'm not sure how well implemented it's going to be for this year. I was planning to enter 2 for the HOYS classes at the Royal Highland, but my rider isn't a member of a showing society so I'm not sure I can now (entries close end of this week).

I think they should be allowed to join a society IF they qualify! My daughter has no chance of qaulifying but likes to do a hoys class as pony no longer a novice...have had to pay £60 on top of class to join NPS...!!!

Its suppose to be mandatory for all Hoys Quals, However The highland didnt know anything about it and there was no facility to complete it when doing entries online.

The winter champs entry form had changed this year and was almost identical to the official HOYS entry form and you had to sign to acknowledge you were entering a HOYS qualifier so obviously eliminating the need for the seperate entry forms. Probably done to avoid confusion for the first qualifier of the season!

I read on the bsps website that you just need to make sure that everyone is a member a week before the qualifier (or something like the first working day of the week before the qualifier) so you can still enter and not be a member, just make sure you're a member before the show date :-)

I know people are a bit miffed that you have to fill in another entry form, but if you are planning on entering more than one qualifier with your pony/ponies, why not photocopy your origional entry form so that you have one entry for each qualifier you compete in? It saves you from filling out masses of entry forms.

I understand now! Some shows such as Cheshire, GYS have the info on the HOYS entry form so no need to do an extra one, whereas some shows don't - thanks God we are only entering 2 max for the qualifiers!

Its suppose to be mandatory for all Hoys Quals, However The highland didnt know anything about it and there was no facility to complete it when doing entries online. My understanding is that the RHS DID know about it and their new entry form incorporated appropriate questions so that an additional form wasn't necessary. I certainly had to complete all the required HOYS information when I entered RHS online Edit - can anyone with a query relating to the new form please make use of the HOYS question and answer thread.
