any ideas?
are 4 year old section B keeps sticking his tongue right out, he's ridden in a plain snaffle he never gets his tongue 'over' the bit just pulls it right out to the side, never strong or silly well doing it and always been in a snaffle.. why do you think he could be doing this?

Is it a single jointed snaffle? If so he might be happier in a french link or Mullen mouthpiece. Some ponies just do.t like the single joint. I would also suggest you check his teeth and make sure there is nothing causing him any discomfort inside his mouth.

yes single jointed snaffle.. will have a look at the other 2 bits that you have said. teeth have been checked and all fine, thank-you.

Hello, usually a sign that they feel that there is not enough room in the mouth for their tongue. Some other ideas - try a slimmer mouthpiece, loosen your noseband if tight so the jaw isn't clamped together, find a local loriner and ask them to come out.

we had one who did this and no not its teeth lol,we tried a breaking bit with the keys pony loved it played with them and stop putting tounge out now in a hanging cheek snaffle no problems since
