We're taking my rising 4 year old to a local pony club show in may. Ive got 2 welshies so ive always left them alone but not sure whether to plait him and what to take him in. He will be going in the green horse ridden class but not sure what inhand to do with him. thanks guys

He's lovely what breed is he? He'd look nice plaited up and trimmed as shp. I really like him haha

Aww thanks don't have a clue how he's bred, we bought him as a scruffy 2 year old to bring on and he's turned out to be a little superstar. Will plait him and see how we go

Definitely trim and plait him - feathers off, tail banged so it's just below his hocks when he's moving (it'll be longer when he's standing). Turnout for SHP is as per M&Ms - plain hunter bridle, no fancy browband, tweed jacket for the jockey. He looks a lovely pony. Good luck, and please show us a photo in his party clothes when he goes to the show
