Hi
My staffie is 3 in October, he has been for lots of socialisation classes and other dog classes with an experienced animal behaviouralist but basically he has serious aggression towards other dogs.
In the house he is a calme sweet loving dog. Out on walks he turns into the original devil dog making the most horrendous noise at other dogs and occasionally people.
He has never had a bad experience so there is no excuse for this other than it must be in his blood.
Has anyone ever successfully used a calmer with a agressive dog ?
Just to point out we keep him on a lead, so although he must bother people with the awful behaviour we keep him away so he cannot do any damage.
Thanks

I havent tried a calmer but have you tried another behaviourist...? we had a very dog aggressive dog, and another who was a nervous wreck! a good behaviorist may not cure your dog (at 3 it will be difficult) but could curb the behaviour?? Noticed your in Cheshire, our behaviorist (a friend) is literally a miracle worker - can give you his number if interested - not cheap but very effective for ut
