Maybe just keep her in for a couple of days before the show Thats just dodgy, ive seen how some horses react to it and if the pony has to travel aswell your risking injuries when travelling. You could always try some energising feeds like Allen and Page's power and perfomance which is a high energy feed or a supplement www.feedmark.com/Product.asp?Product=Precision+%26+Focus

I'd be careful, putting any extra feed into youngsters. If she's not been to a show before she'll probably wake up and have a bit more spark once she's there with others in the ring. I wouldn't keep her in intentionally for a few days for bit more sparkle, especially as she's lived out. Not good for babies mental health.
It may just be that she's not going to be an in-hand sort of pony - some aren't, but once she's under saddle in a few times you'll be thankful for her level headedness.

I agree with what your saying but even just 1/4 a scoop of a higher energy feed will help her alot. Not a huge amount and obviously not scoop after scoop but just gradual build up to a full amount she needs in replacement of another.

But A&P Power and Performance is 25% combined sugar and starch! Whilst slightly better than some energising feeds it's still not good by any means! It's not something I would choose to feed to my own horses.
How about a feed balancer, it gave mine more energy. Or perhaps just some spring grass, mine all have far too much energy now they're on it. Obviously, check weight first, anything carrying too much weight ought to be carefully monitored.

i would just see how she goes at the first couple of shows before you give her any thing extra , how lucky you are to have a dope on a rope , but she could be completely different at shows , i would wait and see
