Would you ride a horse that needs muscle building up on her back?? her front in fine and so is her hindquarters, my back lady has said there is no issue now, shes had teeth done and saddle checked so everything is up to date and she is well enough..just a few people have said i wouldnt ride a horse who doesnt have alot of muscle on their back, shes not bad just needs it building up?sorry if i have missed anything feel free to ask. in my opinion i would ride her as it will help her, as it doesnt have to be hard work.

Me truthfully would get her working on the lunge working long and low and do a bit of long-reining as you dont want to add pressure to muscles that arnt strong. Do a bit of trotting poles which will also make her use her back.

Id agree start lunging maybe invest in a pessoa. after a week or two get on for 5mins after the lunging see how you get on , take it slow but regular let us know how u get on

Depends on how bad it was and tbh, how heavy i was! If you are a teeny person i would see how she goes. Lots of steady slow work, lunging over poles etc. anything that makes her use herself properly.

Would definitely depend on how bad the back is and other factors such as your weight and your riding ability, how you sit, whether you are experienced enough to 'feel' any problems or struggles.
I would refer back to the physio who should advise you as to how to continue ridden or in hand exercise as physiotherpy. That is supposing your back person is actually a qualified physiotherpist who would have been referred by your vet. If your back person does not hold these qualifications, ask the vet for his/her recommendations.
Important the vet is involved. A very weak back with lack of muscle can be the consequence of other issues current or old elsewhere and this needs to be taken into consideration.

my physio is a proper human/animals one got all the qualifications shes very very good, both her and vet think that she should be ridden but not for long like ten mins to start with etc etc... but im just worried cus she has mind issues too.
