Were hoping to enter at this weekends spring show with our pony in the inhand classes. Could someone clarify what rule 18 of the rule book is please. It says on the schedule **Handlers please note HATS MUST BE WORN IN THE RING (see NCPA rule 18)**. Does it mean a riding hat with a chin strap or a beagle/bowler hat aloud? We have always worn tweed/bowler hat for inhand classes even at County standard. Thank you if anyone can answer as we cannot find rule 18 with not being members!!

Rule 18 = correctly secured BSI skull caps/riding hats - BS4772/6473/EN 1384/PAS 015 must be worn at all times

Thank you had a lovely time at the show however felt a bit disappointed that members and non members did not abide by the rules by wearing either tweed caps, beagles or absolutely nothing on their heads! No one in a position too corrected those who did not bide by the rules. There was no point of rule 18 really!! Never mind we read the rules correctly and still enjoyed the show!!
