If he is ridden in a French link at home and you are happy with how he goes in it then stick with a French link mouth and perhaps an Eggbutt French link snaffle, or loose ring?

I have shown a novice hack in a fulmer snaffle at Ponies Uk and been placed, so unless there is a reason you want to change I would use your nomal bit. Arabs quite often have restricted room for some bits ,so if he goes well in the french link I would stick with that even if you decide to change to eggbut /loose ring sides or even a pelham .
