You sound like me! Once you have been to a few shows you will get the knack. Ive got my section d out this year all i do is a simple bog standard show that shows her off. I come out the line up, stand up for the judge, walk away, trot back to the judge, go to the right hand corner and come , across the middle in extended trot, canter on the corner and then half way up the side, back across the middle canter on the corner and gallop up the side and back into the middle and salute the judge... takes about 2 mins which is short and sweet and they dont loose interest!!

watch banks is good, and mine is simular
apart from i dont trot back to the judge i walk away from her a couple of steps then procceed into trot and keep going.
to be really simple- go on one rein and trot one side then canter the other, change across the diagonal in trot, trot one side again and canter the other then gallop down the next available side. that way you are show the judge all the paces but only changing the rein once.

A backwards figure of 8, trot out, canter, change the rein in trot, canter again and push on the long side opposite the front of the line up. Just keep it simple Good luck

Basic figure of eight, with a canter at each end & an extension/canter down the long side if you wish. Go to some shows & watch some novice classes to give you an idea of what shows work with novices & which ones don't!

When I am trying to figure out my show to make sure I extend on the oposite side to the line up I simply go through my show backwards start with where you want to do your gallop and then work it so that you finish infront of the judge (which in turn is actually where you will start)

Go to lots and lots of shows to watch and get a feel for what your doing. The worst part with Welshies is usually the go-round with all the thundering about they do so plenty of riding with others always helps!
I practice my show with my hunter at home lots and always figure out where my gallop would be in plenty of time, that way no matter where they position you or how the ring is set out, if you know what corner to start in/which rein to go on first you will always know where your gallop will be!
I've let nerves get the better of me a few times and done some ridiculous gallops in stupid places!!!! But now I always know which corner to do my first canter in in order for it to go right haha!
