I want to be able to enter my 16hh hunter in a light weight class at a county show to see if he does any well or not... As i have looked through lots of schedules it states that you have to be registered with the appropriate society's? who are they? I am new to this and would appreciate any help? who should i register with? thanks

You will need to register with Sport Horse GB - but as you are just dipping your toe in, rather than take out full annual membership, you can purchase up to two "tickets" to allow you to compete
If you intend on doing more than two county shows, thn you'll have to do full annual membership

Pleasure and good luck. I saw your post about the working hunters too - maybe take a look at the Sport Horse classes also, they do flat ridden and one with jumping. Not sure what your horse has done, but if you've established dressage and jumping they might be wuite good also
