went to pick up a pony today, 120mile round trip, Pony was supposed to be halter broken. Got there pony in huge field and owner can not catch or handle it, apparently its halter fell off a couple of days ago, she seemed to think that if you backed a trailer to the gate and put a feed in it would just walk in? spent 5 hours trying to catch it, what a waste of time and a lot of diesel. no stable, no where to pen it, nothing! Am very tired and very cross.

he has the potential to be a nice boy, move for fun in the field and hell of a jump as he explored the fields next door lol. But think the girl lives in dream land.

it is extremely aggrivating when that happens luckily mine wasnt as bad as only travelled half an hour but transport turned up i was there too but no owner told me to go in field and catch this totally untrained colt with heavily pregnant mum and a 3yr old in field too couldnt do anything it was impossible owner turned up 45 mins later, we then led mare in and colt followed but wouldnt follow mare into box so then spent another hour and half penning this colt in to try get headcollar on it and into box very traumatising for the colt and heavily pregnant mare and 3 and half hours mine and the transport guys time luckily i regularly use his services so he still only charged me same as usual, at least i got mine at the end but you had all that time costs etc and no prize at the end thats gutting

was impossible, no where to pen him, nothing at all, girl thought he would walk in to a trailer of his own free will and just stand there!! cloud cuckoo land!! whole day lost and off course cost of fuel. lovely boy but need to catch him to take him!could not even keep him in same field as was jumping the fences.

That must have been so irratating. Some people really are quite rude aren't they. Just basic manners to have the pony in ready and waiting , or be honest and say the little dear is practically wild and you'll have to catch it yourself X

How crazy! what a journey to then spend 5 hours trying to catch!!! nobody should attempt to sell unless the basics are in place!
