Hi, This is my first riding show season with my Cob, I have a green tweed showing jecket with a black velvet collar. Could you please tell me what colour hat I would need? as for in hand last year I wore my 'everyday' riding hat... I was told that all showing hats have to be navy and flesh coloured straps but I'm still not sure?

Yeah thats right but if only at local level then you should use your normall hat with a black silk to save money

Your hat should compliment your jacket. You can get a very nice green hat with a flesh harness. Usually the velvet tr on the jacket would be navy hence why a lot of people wear navy.
Look on fylde or pretty ponies. Think they sell the green hats.
